Pop Art Printmaking
Inspired by many pop artists such as Andy Warhol, these prints were actually printed from a stamp-like linoleum material. We took pictures of ourselves and traced the picture onto the linoleum, where we carved out the white space between all the outlines. Then we outlined the lines with permanent marker, and used a roller brush to put ink-paint on the linoleum. We took construction paper and pressed it onto the linoleum. After I repeated this inking (or stamping process) several times, we chose which ones we liked and put them in a frame.
