This map was meant to be an artistic portrayal of ourselves; an autobiography of us while incorporating symbols and art. Each symbol represents something in my life. There is a legend showing what each of these symbols are meant for in my life. We started off by brainstorming symbols and then we sketched them with a pencil on a first draft. Then we used watercolor paints and permanent markers to color in and outline the map. An example of a symbol is Mt. Love, which represents all of my family and friends. Watercolor painting is very thin, and it runs on the paper really easily, so as I was painting, I had to be very careful. Just like a real map, there's a compass rose.
